Taking a boat trip
to the
Treshnish Isles is by far the
best way to see many of the areas sea birds. The islands are
breeding grounds for razorbill, guillemot, shag, fulmar,
cormorant, kittywake, skua and everyone's favourite, the puffin.
To make sure you
see the puffins, visit during late spring or summer
- leave it too late and they'll have gone, spending the winter at
sea. The puffins are at their best during the breeding
season, it's when their rainbow beaks are at their brightest. |
